Or at least they start blogging…

I am a self confessed wedding junky.  Long before I met my now husband I was a wedding junky, and I don’t really see any end in sight.  I am obsessed with all things involving weddings, celebrations, design, decorating, gourmet cooking, wine and travel.  I had a subscription to Food and Wine Magazine and Sunset at the age of 13; and I used to keep a huge stack of wedding magazines under my bed in my early 20’s, when I was still single.  They were my guilty indulgence and I would sneak into the grocery store late at night to buy them.  Now, I proudly display the collection in my office; years and years of magazines marked with post-it notes and love.  The collection has been joined by a plethora of books, clippings, swatches, ribbons, paper samples and other necessary indulgences.

For me it was never a fantasy of meeting the groom and being the Princess Bride, it was always my thirst for creativity, my love of all events and parties and just entertaining in general.  I mean you should really see me throw a dinner party…  I call it my mental illness, I am not happy if I am not planning something.  That is the reason I became a wedding planner and now a wedding blogger, I needed a larger outlet than one wedding at a time.  A place where I could share my ideas and finds with Brides and other wedding junkies.

I loved my wedding, and I love being married.  I love the creative process involved in finding a new way of doing something, a new design element and putting it all together.  There is nothing more special to me than a celebration of love… love for life, the love of two people and the love of the process.

Happy Planning!
